A book «Contemporary Orphanage Prevention Practices» (in Russian, download interactive file) is a comprehensive guide of world’s best practices in the field of family support and orphanage prevention. It was specially designed to be used in Belarusian social care institutions. The guide was prepared within the project ‘Orphans in Belarus: fighting negative effects for beneficiary groups’ realized by CASE Belarus in 2013-2014. It focuses on such topics as early detection of families at risk and mobilization of family resources; case-management and other technologies of work with families at risk; institution of family assistant; legal, pedagogical, psychological and other types of family support.
